Hyatt Alila Marea

Marketing, Branding | Creative Director: Andrew Golomb, Copywriter: Sylve Rosen-Bernstein

Perched atop a stunning coastal bluff, Alila Marea Beach Resort offers a breathtaking view of one of Southern California's most dramatic stretches of coastline. "Marea," meaning "tide," serves as a constant source of inspiration, with fresh ideas ebbing and flowing from the Pacific Ocean, visible from nearly every spacious guest room and airy event space.

At Our Man in Havana, one of the biggest clients is Hyatt Hotels. I was responsible for conceptualizing the initial print and marketing collateral that captured the essence of Alila Marea’s Beach Resort while aligning with the Alia Masterbrand. Collaborating closely with the general manager, we developed custom materials reflecting the coastal theme with the resort's character. Brainstorming design elements inspired by the coast, driftwood, natural stone, warm woods, clean lines, and sea glass, I made strategic material choices, such as transparent vellum envelopes and recycled paper, aligning with the resort's eco-conscious values. I was provided photography highlighting surf and sand elements, ensuring visual storytelling reinforced the coastal appeal. By fulfilling these responsibilities, I contributed to marketing materials showcasing the resort's location, sustainability commitment, and cultural experiences, introducing Hyatt Alila Marea Beach Resort.
